Q + A

What do I need to know about RSVPs?

Please RSVP by April 1st! If you responded prior to the receiving the invitation, please RSVP again so we can capture your meal choice. If we don't hear from you by April 1st, we will assume you cannot attend.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

We ask that you wear cocktail attire such as suits or dress shirts with a tie and midi- or knee-length dresses or dressy separates. Wear any color combination or print you are comfortable with! Keep in mind the wedding will be in May in the midwest so weather can be unpredictable!

Will the wedding be outside?

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be in the Rose Garden behind the hotel. The outdoor areas are mostly paved or gravel-covered. We will have alternate indoor arrangements if the weather is not on our side!

What type of food is being served?

There will be a plated dinner with both meat and vegetarian options. If you have any specific dietary needs or allergies, please comment on your RSVP or reach out to Megan or Jon directly so we can communicate with our catering service!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The open bar will offer liquor, beer, wine, sodas, and juices. The bar will close during dinner and wine service will be offered at the table.

Can I bring my children/friend/date?

We ask that our wedding be an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved night off to celebrate with us! We also request that only those listed on the invitation join us, as we are keeping our guest list intimate. Thank you for understanding!

What's the best way to get to Hotel Baker?

It is easiest to end your journey to Hotel Baker by car. Hotel Baker does not have a designated parking lot so please take note of the parking rules in the city of St. Charles. More information can be found on the Travel and Accommodations page of this website!

I have questions about accessibility!

Hotel Baker is a 1920's building so some areas are less accessible to those with mobility issues. Please reach out to Megan or Jon directly if you have concerns so we can work with the hotel to accommodate or share more specific information. You are more that welcome to contact the hotel directly, should you feel more comfortable. Hotel Baker also has more information on their website here: https://www.hotelbaker.com/accessibility-statement.
